My attorney did the right job by me
An attorney is in his profession to make money as we all are. The attorney needs his office rent paid, mortgage payments to be on time, car payments to be maintained, to feed himself, his family and so on.
So do you feel that an attorney will be honest with you about your case? Do you feel that he will do the proper amount of research to give you a responsible answer and analysis when speaking about your case? If he makes a mistake, do you think he would disclose that to you? Are you even knowledgeable enough to be aware if your attorney made a mistake? Did you know that if you have found your attorney made mistakes, did you know that you have only a year to file against him? Your attorney knows.
Or instead,
Do you believe that the attorney’s interest to make money tarnishes his/her honesty towards their clients? Do you think he would admit when he does not have enough experience in a given area? Do you think the possibility exists that a lawyer will take your money whether or not you have a case? What if you don’t have a good case and you don’t know it, do you think you will be told the truth by an attorney you are considering hiring or is it in the attorney’s interest to keep you in the dark? Do you think he would benefit from taking your money and then telling you the case was not good after invoicing you for his time?
